THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS

This talk could just as well be called 'Memories Are Made of This'. Those of you reading this must have a favourite plant or two that brings back a memory of maybe where you bought it or perhaps you were given it by a special friend or were you looking for it for ten years or more and suddenly there it was at a nursery for you to buy? Throughout my years of growing alpines I have many memories like that but unfortunately a lot of the plants have long since gone. However, once I started photographing them using slide film I have managed to keep the memory alive.

In this talk I present many of my favourite plants, from my early American adventures up to present day. Plants that are still growing and others that have died. Each one has a special place in my collection for many reasons. Some are top show plants, some have been obtained through exchange, while others have suddenly appeared in the post. There are many more reasons for them to become favourites of mine and you have to see this talk to find out.

As I always say, cultivation advice is freely given during the talks.
