For over twenty five years I have been giving slide talks to AGS groups, and horticultural societies in the UK, the United States, Canada and Ireland. Although I have a number of set talks, and these are listed below, I can adapt to anything you would like me to talk about from propagation to planting up troughs to travelogues. Four new talks have been added to the list. Colorado Contrasts' is a look at plants and scenery from the Grand Mesa in the west of Colorado to Crested Butte in the centre and on to Loveland and Hoosier Passes and Pike's Peak in the east. 'Campanulas to Kill for' depicts the wonderful Campanulas that grow in Europe and the US, a great many of them rarely seen except at AGS shows. In this talk I show slides of many of them, discuss their habitats, their differences and their propagation and cultivation. 'Tips and Tricks of Growing Alpines' is a talk that gives advice in growing a wide range of alpines from Europe to N. and S. America, to New Zealand and S. Africa. I discuss raised beds and sand beds, propagation and a lot more. 'Penstemons in the Wild and in Cultivation' includes a wide range of pents from the easy grown ones to the rare and difficult and to the smallest in the genus P. acaulis.

However, first of all, why not click on the buttons below to see my full range. My fee is moderate, £45 plus travel expenses at 30 pence per mile, for talks in the UK (as at November 2008). Whenever possible I also bring along plants for sale as this helps to keep the fee at a reasonable level. If you see anything you like or require further information just e-mail or ring me.
